A shooting last night in Jackson Square left a man wounded, and police are seeking a suspect.
The victim, a man his late 20s, was shot in the area of 274 Centre St. at around 9 p.m., and he is in stable condition, according to the Boston Police Department (BPD). The area of the crime is around the Bromley-Heath public housing development, where there was a wave of shootings last year before a police crackdown and security upgrades. But BPD did not say where the victim lived or whether there is any connection to previous violence.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic man in his early 20s, 5-feet-9-inches tall, wearing a black hat, white tank-top shirt and blue jeans.
