The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation, a nonprofit community development corporation, was one of 24 nonprofits that recently received grants totally $700,000 from the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC), according to a press release. The amount of money each organization received was not listed.

MGCC was created in 2010 by the state to help small businesses create jobs. MGCC is working with banks to make loans to community development corporations and other nonprofits to provide funding and financing for job-producing projects.
