Jullieanne Doherty, Jamaica Plain’s coordinator for the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services, was still grinding away at local issues when the Gazette spoke with her recently, but whether she remains in that position in Mayor Marty Walsh’s new administration is unclear.
“I’m here and strong in this capacity for now,” Doherty said in a Jan. 21 Gazette interview.
She referred questions about her future to the Mayor’s Office, which did not respond to a request for comment.
Doherty was appointed to the neighborhood coordinator position by former Mayor Thomas Menino. But with Walsh recently taking the reins, numerous changes are occurring within City Hall.
The neighborhood coordinator advises the mayor on local issues and helps guide residents and businesses through City processes and services.
