Jullieanne Doherty, who former Mayor Thomas Menino appointed to be Jamaica Plain’s coordinator for the Office of Neighborhood Services, will be staying on under the Mayor Martin Walsh’s administration, according to spokesperson Kate Norton.

There was some uncertainty about whether Doherty would remain in that position when the Gazette spoke with her last month. Doherty, a JP resident, has been widely praised for her work.

The neighborhood coordinator advises the mayor on local issues and helps guide residents and businesses through City processes and services.
