Gas line work on Centre Street in Hyde Square will continue into the fall, National Grid told the Gazette.
National Grid spokesperson Mary-Leah Assad told the Gazette last week that ongoing work will continue on Centre Street, between Sheridan and Walden streets, likely through the end of October.
The pipe replacement work began last year and impacted parking, as well as forcing a miniature park to be relocated from in front of local businesses. Following a winter break, the work resumed last month.
The work will be carried out during the day, Assad said, and will move around within that area.
The work will not reduce driving lanes but will severely limit or eliminate parking in the impacted area.
