JP Progressives, a local left-leaning political organization, is hosting a City Council candidate forum tomorrow, June 3, 6-9 p.m. at Doyle’s Cafe, 3484 Washington St.
Incumbent councilors Michael Flaherty, Matt O’Malley (who represents most of Jamaica Plain), Ayanna Pressley and Michelle Wu are slated to attend, along with Annissa Essaibi George and Bryan Fuller, who are running for at-large seats.
Each candidate will appear individually for about 30 minutes.
JP Progressives says it expects to question the candidates about many topics, including: the Boston 2024 Summer Olympics bid; council salaries; housing; schools; policing; the Long Island homeless shelter closure; wages; “inequality”; and the council presidency.
RSVPs for attending the forum are requested at [email protected]. For those who can’t attend in-person, JP Progressives will live-tweet the event at @jpprogresssives.
