America’s Night Out Against Crime

Hyde Square Task Force is teaming up with Jamaica Plain’s District E-13 division of Boston Police Department to host National Night Out 2017, an event for the public to enjoy food and entertainment as well as mingle with elected officials and police officers.

“America’s Night Out Against Crime” will feature food, music, dancing, demonstrations, games, and prizes. Local state Sen. Sonia Chang-Díaz, local state Rep. Liz Malia, and Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department are sponsors of the event. Other local businesses and organizations sponsoring the event are Hyde Square Task Force, Hyde Jackson Square Main Street, Mildred Hailey Apartments Tenants’ Organization, Egleston Square Neighborhood Association, Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation, Urban Edge, JP Coalition Tree of Life/ Arbol de Vida, Stop & Shop, and Whole Foods Market.

The event will be held at Hyde Square Task Force’s Blessed Sacrament building at 361 Centre St. on July 31 from 4-8 p.m., rain or shine.
