The Boston Fire Department (BFD) battled a three-alarm fire at 165 Lamartine St. on the morning of Feb. 6, according to BFD spokesperson Marc Sanders.
Sanders said that a licensed daycare was at the two-and-a-half story residential building, but all five children and two adults managed to evacuate without injuries. He also said no firefighters were injured battling the blaze.
Sanders said that there is an initial estimate of $1 million in damage and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
