Andrea Campbell’s campaign for Mayor of Boston announced a number of new staff hires today that show she is building a diverse, experienced leadership team with local and national campaign experience.
•Adam Webster, a long-time campaign strategist and principal at Castle Point Partners, LLC, joins Campbell’s campaign as general consultant. Throughout his extensive career in Massachusetts and Boston politics, including races every cycle in Boston for the last 15 years, Webster has run more than 25 winning Boston campaigns across every neighborhood in the city and 5 successful mayoral campaigns across Massachusetts.
•Juanita Tolliver will serve as senior advisor for communications. Tolliver, a national political strategist and communications consultant and frequent MSNBC contributor, was most recently the political director for Supermajority, a national organization that builds the political and organizing power of women. She previously served as Director of Campaigns at the Center for American Progress Action Fund, has worked as a political strategist for non-profit organizations, and as a campaign staffer on races at multiple levels of government—including campaign roots in Massachusetts.
•Nicole Serrano will serve as deputy campaign manager. Serrano has already overseen large organizing programs amidst the pandemic, having most recently served as Massachusetts organizing director for the Biden campaign and as deputy campaign manager on Jesse Mermell’s campaign for Congress in MA-04. She previously worked as a policy analyst and press staffer in the office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
•Caroline Kimball-Katz joins Campbell’s campaign as communications director. A long-time aide to Campbell, Kimball-Katz previously served in her City Council office as communications director and deputy chief of staff, and worked on her 2015 and 2017 campaigns for City Council. During the 2020 presidential primary, she served as New Hampshire communications director for former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick’s campaign.
•Blanca Andrei will serve as finance director. Andrei has extensive national fundraising experience, helping raise over $99 million for candidates in the 2020 presidential primary, and most recently served as afinance associate for the Biden campaign in which role she executed the Artists for Biden initiative that raised over $5 million. She is also a co-founder at OneFiveTen, an organization focused on empowering young people to engage with campaigns by connecting them with opportunities to financially support millennial, LGBTQIA+, women, and candidates of color.
They join campaign manager Katie Prisco-Buxbaum, a veteran of Massachusetts, California and national politics, who also managed Campbell’s first campaign for Boston City Council in 2015, when Campbell defeated 32-year incumbent Charles Yancey to become the first woman and second-ever District 4 City Councilor.
