RVMS Strategic Planning Stakeholder Survey

The Board of Roslindale Village Main Street (RVMS) is currently in the process of re-formulating a multi-year strategic plan, and we are connecting with partners, local businesses, landlords, and community members to solicit priorities and new ideas. Here is a quick survey that will help us guide our thinking as we go through this process. The survey will be open until May 31. Thank you in advance for your help!

Our Spring Appeal Has Started!

Our Spring Appeal is underway, and we want to highlight some of the work we do in the community. One of the main areas of our work is supporting the local businesses.

We know that operating a small business can be complicated and often leads to unexpected challenges. This is why our Economic Development Committee organized a Business Resource Directory. This directory compiles resources like Community Banking, General Contractors, Technical Assistance, Legal/Accounting, and more! Volunteers researched services and businesses, with a particular eye for those based in Roslindale. The directory was published on the RVMS website and is available for businesses and the community to use and peruse. The goal is to keep this directory as a living resource for current and future businesses–a tool that is constantly enriched and made more useful with time, and one that empowers volunteers to provide actionable resources to small businesses and their ever-changing needs.

Recently, we have been working to support Fior Baez, owner of Fior’s Little Garden Childcare Center (one of Roslindale’s newest businesses – open now!). She told us: “RVMS supported me through the long process of getting my program licensed. So many doors closed for me. Thanks to the Executive Director of Roslindale Village, who helped me to open others. I am grateful and happy to have connected with this wonderful program. I am delighted as a business owner to be part of the Rolisndale community. Thank you.” – Fior Baez

If you are able, please consider making a donation towards our Spring Appeal so we can continue to offer this kind of support for our local businesses.
