Open Streets Boston is back for its third annual event, offering another chance to experience streets as public spaces.
On July 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jamaica Plain will be celebrating Open Street on Center Street. The street will be closed between Lamartine and South Street starting at 9 a.m. for this event.
Open Streets Boston events help people experience streets as public spaces where communities thrive. City streets transform into vibrant, pedestrian-friendly boulevards where people can dream, play, and explore.
During these free, family-friendly events, Open Streets Boston will temporarily close major thoroughfares to car traffic. This opens them to people biking, walking, rolling, and connecting with neighbors and local businesses.
