Christ J. Stamatos of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts passed away on September 1, 2025. He was born on November 30, 1968, to James C. Stamatos and the late Anastasia Stamatos, who both emigrated from Greece. As the eldest of their four children, he quickly grew into the role of leader, both within his family and later in the community he loved.
Christ was a proud graduate of Boston Technical High School and Suffolk University Sawyer School of Management. Christ became a cornerstone of the Boston business community, admired for his entrepreneurial drive, generosity, and unwavering integrity. He had a passion for building businesses, complemented by nearly 30 years in the real estate industry, while mentoring countless others along the way. He had a gift for encouraging people to pursue their goals and always reminded those around him to maintain a positive outlook.
Beyond business, Christ’s impact was felt deeply through his philanthropy. He volunteered and contributed to many local charities and nonprofit organizations, and in 2022 he was honored with the David Ortiz Designated Hitter Award for his commitment to the people of Boston. His dedication to providing jobs and opportunities reflected his belief that success is best measured by the lives one touches. He was also a devout member of the Greek Orthodox Church and a proud Godfather.
Known for his warm personality, Christ was selfless, friendly, funny, and easy-going, yet fiercely competitive whether in business or at the poker table. He was committed to caring for his parents. Christ carried a strong entrepreneurial spirit that left an impression on everyone he met. He enjoyed traveling with his family and friends to Martha’s Vineyard, Orlando, FL, Greece and Santo Domingo. His favorite pastime was watching The Godfather and Batman movies every Thanksgiving and Christmas with family. He was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics, the Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots.
He is survived by his father James, his brothers George and Nicholas and his sister Areti and their families, his aunts and uncles, his cousins who love him like a brother, and many beloved nieces and nephews who will carry his legacy forward.”
Christ’s life was defined by generosity, determination, and love. He will be remembered not only for the businesses he built but also for the countless people he inspired along the way.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, beginning at 4PM until 8PM at the Mann & Rodgers Funeral Home , 44 Perkins Street, Jamaica Plain, MA. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
The Funeral Service was held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 10:30AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England, 514 Parker Street, Roxbury, MA.
