The following Jamaica Plain individuals, businesses and organizations have received recognition.

Emily Feinberg, Katie Kozin and Anna Wells hiked through the White Mountains in NH in the Wilderness Heals pledge hike to support survivors of violence and trauma.

Kara Pesola, Emile Chen and Cassandra Kaiser are being honored by the MA League for their work to expand health care services at the JP Health Center.

The City of Boston was ranked as Top Green City on the East coast in a Ntural Resources Defense Council report. It was ranked eighth among large cities country-wide.

Dominic Benavides-Kors, Erik Bush, Willie Caldwell, Aaron Cherof, Andrew Hanley, Arturo Rafael Pena Lopez, Andrew Roberts, Jenna Rycroft, Ryan Warner earned Dean’s List recognition for the Spring 2009 at Berkelee College of Music.

Bottom Line received a $5,000 donation to their College Access program from the Staples Foundation.

Betsy Cowan received a Community Service Award and Michael Reiskind received a Crime Fighter of the Year Award at JP’s National Night Out.

Amaury Pujols was one of 21 recent graduates of the Jewish Vocational Services Culinary Arts training program.

Harry Alper and Elena Kazarov were named to the Dean’s LIst at Washington University in St Louis.

Goddard House is celebrating 160 years of older adult care in Greater Boston.

Julia Goodman was awarded a full-tuition Scholarship to Boston University by BU’s Boston High School Scholarship Program.

Aliyah Harris was selected to compete in the 2009 Miss Jr. Teen Boston pageant.

Marc Tangvik gradated from Union College.
