The following Jamaica Plain individuals, businesses and organizations have received recognition.

Ula Cafe will receive a 2010 Green Business Award from Mayor Menino.

Amanda Tobey, a JP resident, along with Michael Ames, Michelle Terry-David, Katherine Hillman, Melanie Reiss and Karen Esposito, among other social workers at MSPCC’s JP office, have been honored with certificates of appreciation.

LGBT Aging Project received the Outstanding Neighborhood Senior Service Agency award.

WorldTech Engineering, LLC has recently been awarded the design and construction administration of Building Envelope Restoration project at the Jefferson School Condominium building.

State Representative Jeffrey Sanchez received an award at last week’s Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages conference for his leadership in advancing fair education for English learners in Massachusetts.

The SouthWest Corridor Park, Arborway and Emerald Necklace all received funds from the Dept. of Conservation and Recreation for major improvement projects.
