With all the negative talk about what Hi-Lo didn’t do, and what Whole Foods may do in its stead, I have heard nothing about how Stop & Shop can be of help. Hi-Lo’s passing has been identified as being a catastrophic loss because it provided a wide variety of affordable international food items. Stop & Shop should be called upon to join the conversation and help fill the void. I would like to see Stop & Shop join the conversation to ensure that our diverse community is well supported.
Together the smaller variety stores, the health food stores already in existence, and the two large food store chains have the opportunity to help JP’s consumers move forward in an affordable and healthy way.
