State Attorney General Martha Coakley will campaign in Jamaica Plain tomorrow on behalf of U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren, according to the group JP for Elizabeth Warren.
Coakley will meet with supporters at a 21 Lochstead Ave. home on the morning of Sat., Aug. 4 and then join in a door-knocking campaign.
Warren, a Democrat, is attempting to unseat the Republican incumbent, Scott Brown. Coakley was the Democratic candidate who lost to Brown in a 2010 special election to fill the Senate seat left vacant by the death of Edward Kennedy.
“Attorney General Coakley has fought tirelessly for all families in Massachusetts on behalf of the Commonwealth for a very long time and JP for Elizabeth Warren is honored to host an event with her,” a press release said.
