(Photo Courtesy Mayor’s Office) Mayor Thomas Menino (at podium) announces a re-entry plan for former prisoners released as a result of tainted evidence from JP’s drug lab scandal at an Oct. 11 press conference downtown. The plan closely supervises all of those released to make sure they are not drawn into crime, with help from the Boston Police Department, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, the Department of Probation and Boston Centers for Youth & Families. Joining Menino were (from left) Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley and Police Superintendent in Chief Daniel Linskey. Menino is requesting $15 million from the state to pay for the effort.
