JACKSON SQ.—The 26 victims of last week’s mass murder at a Connecticut school will be remembered with a moment of silence and speeches at an event tomorrow morning at the Bromley-Heath housing development.
Local representatives, clergy and residents will speak at the 8:30 a.m. event in the Rose Garden outside 30 Bickford St. The event is sponsored by the Bromley-Heath Tenant Management Corporation, the Boston Housing Authority, the Martha Eliot Health Center, JPVIP and MassHousing.
A deranged gunman killed 20 children and six staff members in the Dec. 14 mass murder at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. He also previously killed his mother and later committed suicide. The victims are also being remembered locally in a memorial display around the Soldier’s Monument in Monument Square.
