Man shot at Stony Brook T Station

A man was shot around 8 p.m. tonight near the entrance to the Stony Brook T Station, according to MBTA Transit Police.

The 23-year-old victim suffered a wound that Transit Police described as apparently non-life-threatening.

Transit Police detectives are investigating. Anyone with information can contact the Criminal Investigation Unit at 617-222-1050 or anonymously by texting a tip to the number 873873.

Orange Line trains are currently bypassing the Stony Brook stop, located at Boylston and Lamartine streets, and are being replaced locally with shuttle buses from Jackson Square Station. For updates, see mbta.com.
