2 wounded, 2 arrested in Forest Hills T Station shooting

Two women were wounded–one seriously–by gunfire when a man fired several shots into the Forest Hills T Station on Jan. 26, according to MBTA Transit Police.

Two 18-year-old Boston men were later arrested in connection with the shooting, which Transit Police speculate may be gang-related.

Witnesses reported seeing man with a handgun exit the 3700 Washington St. T station around 2 p.m., heading for the Route 39 bus bay. The man then turned around and fired into the station.

A 62-year-old woman was shot in the back and suffered injuries described as life-threatening. A 24-year-old woman was grazed by a bullet. Transit Police say they are “confident” the women were not the intended targets of the shooting.
